About me
Hey, I'm Kristina Bekher, and I love film photography.
Whether it's a certain light, a place or an ordinary object — if you see it in my frame, it means the moment was too special to resist shooting.
When I'm not behind the camera, I'm working as a software developer, driving on-site experimentation at Douglas.

Note: All images were developed and scanned by Fotovramci and Film Speed Lab.
Gear
My first film camera was an old rangefinder, the FED 5. I started with the hard artillery, so to speak, slowly switching to SLRs, which I found easier to use.
In 2022, a whole new world opened up to me thanks to the Japanese Minolta SR-1s — that's when I realized my previous cameras did have their limits.
When Pentax 17 finally came out, I soon found myself unboxing my first-ever brand-new film camera. Even though I prefer full manual control, Pentax still gives me plenty of room to experiment through its exposure steps and various modes. Switching from half-frame back to standard 35mm feels almost like stepping into medium format, which I haven't tried yet.
Canon AE-1 with a 50mm f/1.8 FD S.C. lens, is the most recent addition to my kit. Its shutter-priority auto exposure helps me worry less about missing a moment. My next goal is to try different (zoom) lenses for this camera, and see what comes out of it.
